Background

Brian represents institutions and individuals in complex litigation, from the initial complaint to the end of the appeals process, including defending clients in bankruptcy, mediation and arbitration proceedings. Brian represents banking industry institutions, insurers, distributors, condominiums, retailers and bondholders and hedge fund managers regarding the Government of Puerto Rico´s insolvency and the subsequent PROMESA litigation, among others.

Lucas advises and represents title insurers in their work to solve complex notarial and Property Registry problems. Likewise, he represents and advises hospitals, loan companies, and other local companies in litigation before the courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the District Court of Puerto Rico.

Lucas has also had an industrious bankruptcy practice representing banking institutions, creditors and Ch. 7 trustees in bankruptcy court.
